Psychic couldn't foresee bad tip?

It may come as no surprise to readers of this blog that I have some interest in supposed psychic abilities. Whether it's telepathy, psychokinesis, or communicating with the dead. Also I don't think its a terrible idea for the police to use psychic tips or sources. However that should definitely come with some reservation. This story below exemplifies why.

Texas officials check report of bodies

[Updated at 8:30 p.m. ET] Officials have conflicting information about a report that bodies had been found on a property in Texas, a federal official told CNN.
Earlier, a federal official said at least 20 bodies had been found at a home in Hardin, Texas.
According to Capt. Rex Evans of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, the office "received a call indicating there was a crime scene here."
"Investigators have responded to the scene," Evans said. "We have found some circumstances that have raised some questions. And we have requested a search warrant. As soon as that warrant arrives here at the scene we will further our investigation."

Follow the link above for more info on the story. But according to the report, the tip came from a local psychic. But perhaps in this case they could have waited for another more 'reliable' tip to come in.

As with last night this will also be shorter post, school is kicking my ass more than I thought it would. Be sure to let me know what you all think about this. Until tomorrow night this is your friendly neighborhood Closet Anomalist saying have a great one!
